Minnesota Rocks

Just brought my son to Carleton College in Northfield and spent a day or two there.

What a wonderful place. Friendly people and drivers that actually seemed attentive. Beautiful countryside too.

Kind of a pointless post I suppose, unless youre from that area. Never the less just wanted to pass it along.

I've gotta agree with you - it's a great place to live and ride! The only exception is the winters - and I wouldnt even mide those if it didnt cut into my riding time! Make sure that you and your son check out Duluth and the north shore bordering Lake Superior - it's fabulous!!

Ewww.. MN sucks. It's flat, straight, and my in-laws all live there.

The two weeks' worth of riding season are nice, if you like the taste of bugs.

You've obviously only ridden the prairie areas - try Southeast and Northern Minnesota........fabulous riding!

Actually I haven't ridden any of, besides in a cage. Look at a map of of PA, NY, VA, WV, DE, etc., tho: you won't find ANY places where the highways run N-S or E-W in straight lines. The Appalachians cut thru here.

I had to laugh at what my wife called the "tunnel" in the cities, too. Here that's called an "overpass."

Pretty state, tho - I'll give you that. I'd live there if it weren't for the winters.... and the summers... and the in-laws.

Funny, I feel exactly the same way about Florida.
