Talking My latest mod

Actually needed to get this years archery elk antlers to a friend who has all the stuff to clean the skull. I will make a "Western" mount for it. It's about 150 miles round trip, so taking the Strom made sense instead of my truck. I got some interesting looks, mostly envy.

Thumbs up

A set for the front of the bike would be especially nice.

I think I'll take a nap.

Did your tag stay on all the way to your friends house?
Nice rack, really nice, congratulations!

I wonder how many people were just wondering if you took the head and left the rest somewhere.

Really envious! I hunted for one of those for five consecutive years without success! If I had gotten one, I would have tried to do him like Roy did Trigger!

be careful doing this

I had a friend that was a no cage guy( he had an old bmw rig, for winter and dates). He had gotten a nice buck whitetail, and had it strapped to the sidecar. some fool took a shot at him on his way out of the woods! (he has wrapped the kill in a blaze orange tarp ever since.

I was a little worried that some Texan or calif might try that. But with all the yellow, i figured I was sorta ok.
I put the tag back in my pocket so it wouldn't blow off and get lost. Also the Cronic wasteing desease test tag. It was interesting. I have taken others that way, but they were mule deer, so much smaller. The last elk rack, i just dropped off on my way home. Couldn't do that this time.

Heading out again today. Got another week of vacation to use archery hunting, and fishing. Then work during the muzzle load week, then another week of vacation for more hunting. I LOVE Sept!!!!!!!!!

The American Chopper guys are now going to make a chrome plated sissy bar based on that design. They love making pointy stuff aimed at the rider.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
