any out there with >135k miles?

I'd like to hear about highest mileage examples DL you know of. IIRC there's a fella from IN that had ~135k on his 650, but that was in 07 & he was gonna replace it.

I'm curious cuz I tend to keep my vehicles & drive em into the ground. A DL is at/near the top of the list for future replacement of my somewhat tired Conc that has 179k.

I posted this ? elsewhere but got no response, thot it'd be common knowledge. Thanx.

I'm at 90,000 on my 06. I should be over 100,000 by 2010.

my old 04 650

is living now in Newport Tn, and had 136k on it a few months back. I have not talked to its current owner since I put a set of front wheel bearings in it and changed the oil for him. It was doing fine then but it probably does need the heads done and maybe a set of guides on the front jug (pretty sure timing chains are stretched). It was giving just one tiny puff of blue smoke on a hot re-start. I have most of a wrecked 05 sv track bike that will probably donate a long block when the '04 wee finally just won't go any more if he wants to fix it.

my 06 is going to get a mothballed 703 motor I have surplus now that FEx is dead.... in a few years when its mill gets tired.

one thing I would do to help the thing live long and prosper is pull the rear swing arm and suspension apart every year and grease every thing! I would do this on a new bike suzuki is a little stingy with the grease. I would also pull my chain adjusters and coat the screws with grease.

By the way that bike has never had ANY charging or electrical problems besides some blown bulbs. ditto for the FI system. just synced at oil changes.

What has been replaced and at approximately how many miles? Chain, wheel bearings, shims for valves, spark plugs, fork oil, brakes, etc.

I'll tell you this, no eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.

oil changed every 5k-10k with rotella synthetic
tires every 3-4 months
chain\sproket every 20k
spark plugs once at 12k
fork oil when i installed sonic springs
fork oil at 75k when i replaced the fork seals
original water and brake fluid
replaced the brake pads at 20k with ebc pads
never synced the throttle bodies
original battery which I have forget to turn the bike off at least 5 times that has been ran to dead

the bike has always started right up except for the dead batteries.

over labor day weekend I going to give her a tune up in anticipation of her hitting 100,000 miles
new plugs, flush the radiator, replace the brake line with fancy steal braided lines, new brake fluid and sync the throttle bodies. That should hopefully get me to another 100k.

Not much has been needed, no valve adjustments, and your still on the original wheel bearings. Very impressive! What awesome machines.
