Talking New V_Strom owner

Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself as a newby to this site and/or forum. I bought a used 07 1000 about a year ago, and so far Im happy with it, with just a few exceptions. I am a good friend and co-worker of Knybanjo and we have been on numerous rides together. Im going to post some pics of my bike soon but for now just wanted to say hey to everyone.

Thanks Starfleet, there are a few more farkels I want to add but as far as the bike itself is concerned, I am very please with it. My previous bike was a 2000 Kawasaki Concours. I really did'nt want to part with it, but affording 2 bikes was not in the cards for me. My bigest concern with the Connie was the seat to peg highth I am only 6' but I have long legs, and that made for a long day on 100 mile + rides.

For longer rides you might want to fabricate a set of highway pegs since they are practically non-existant to buy if you don't have engine guards. Mine cost less then 20 bucks and they do the job. The one on the left side bolts to the pinchbolt and the one on the right uses a spacer and fits right one the frame bolt. That few inches makes the difference between comfort and very sore knees. Welcome to the club!
