I should have listened

Whenever you are suppose to get 2 extra in a box of 8, I only get 9. When ordering a baker's dozen (13) I usually get home to find 11 or 12.

I delayed calculating my gas mileage since I seemed to be needing to fill my tank pretty often. I also wasn't being too gentile on the throttle. I finally did an average over 3 tanks and found I was getting 53.4 mpg!

I should have believed you all when you were stating your mileage, I figured you were stretching things a little. The EPA estimates are usually worse than guestimates so I never trusted them.

My VTX only got around 25 mpg. Didn't think about searching the web for mileage numbers before buying it and the dealer wouldn't really say.

I was riding home in the pouring rain today getting totally soaked, thinking God I love this bike.

R.I.P. (Retire In Peace, thanks for the great ride.)

Strange, isn't it? You would have guessed they would overstate the mpg.

My wee consistently gets 57 mpg or better

My Valkyrie regularly gets under 20- one reason I'm really looking forward to selling it asap and buying a DL1000.

I'd like to see someone get 83 mpg. The most I ever got was 69 mpg (Cdn) and that was taking it easy doing 80 KPH (50 mph) just to see how much I could get. I might be able to get a little more out of it, but not much. I think Zuk is a little optomistic.

ad in magazine

i noticed this claim in an ad in cycle canada . later ads show lower mpg . i think it was when gas prices were high and the ad was about how economical suzuki bikes can be

mostly commuter

Rethinking my measurement, it was mostly slab mileage communting between 60-75 indicated. That would surely bump up the number over stop and go city driving.

Overall, I'm very pleased with my decision to buy a Wee. Now if gas would only go back up to $4.00/gal, maybe we could get some cars off the road.

Highest tanks I've gotten were cruising back roads in ME - 60 and 62 mpg.

I regularly get 50 mpg on the zuk combined, but, 25 on the vtx must have been the 1800, I regularly got 35-40 on my vtx1300c
