Staying with traffic is usually your best bet on the highway. In small towns, 25 mph means 25 mph. It's getting so every cop car in the country has radar.

Ohio always seems to be one big speed trap. I just got back from a roundtrip between Denver and Boston and didn't have any problems.

Good strategy.

On the highway I try to let 1 or 2 out of 10 cars pass me, IOW have 10-20% of the traffic traveling faster than me. This makes it very likely that someone else will have absorbed the LEA capacity.

+1 on this whether in the cage or on bike or rented cage. Especially if you rented one of these,

2006 V-Strom 650 Pegasus
Its either: the journey, the destination, or both. Just remember to have fun.
Previous bike: 2000 Kawaski Vulcan 750 - traded for V-Strom

Jeff

in my recent BBG, I traveled the full distance across Ohio in 71 and had zero hits on my radar detector, but, that was early on a sunday morning with no traffic
