Dumbass of the year award

With daylight savings time ending yesterday, I went out to my Wee and proceeded to change the clock backwards an hour. After a few failed attempts at getting the read out to the change time setting, I came in here to the forum, searched and read the procedure. I went back out and worked at it again trying to figure out what the hell I was doing wrong. Then I realized it was in the right mode. I had been waiting for the odometer to change into the time setting mode instead of looking at the clock read out at the top of the instruments.

Man, I think that I am getting old.

Have another beer. I'll need to set all the clocks in the house and bikes and cars too. Wish me luck!
I got up at 0400 cus I thought it was 5 am. At least the incorrect clock said it was 5.

Well at least you try to set the clock on your bike. Mine came set at the dealer. Never been adjusted after that. And it has been through a battery change and more than a few battery disconnects for farkle installations.

I leave mine on DSL year round as we have DSL 8 months of the year and my winter riding is limited.

Since we're on the clock setting subject, here's the procedure for my 2012 V1000.

My clock is finally correct.

It's simple math.

My clock's been set wrong since I bought my Strom over a year ago. I suppose one of these days I could see about setting it to the correct time........

I find it much easier to just wear a wrist watch. My clock on the wee is at least 2 hours off. Does not bother me at all

I just see it as mixed in with the other numbers constantly changing on the display. Why go through that hocus pockus
madness twice a year. When they say hold for 2 seconds you better be ready for 4 minutes.

I investigated a shooting once where a guy was shot while playing Russian Roulette....with a semiautomatic rifle. With that sort of competition, I'm afraid you'll have to lose about a googleplex's worth of brain cells to be in the running for Dumbass of the Year ....

I don't display the clock setting on mine, instead I opt for the inaccurate ambient temp reading.
