X-creen

I have a DL1000 with an unknown aftermarket windshield. I am 6'6 and with the windshield all the way up the wind hits me square in the forehead and the buffeting/noise through the closed vents is horrible.

I am trying to decide if I should get the Sport or Touring X-creen to try and get the wind over the top.

Alternatively I can measure my windshield and see if one of the Madstads are taller and just do that. For double the cost.

Another option is a deflector that clamps on top of windshield. Amazon has them for less than $40.

At your height i would recommend the givi airflow due to the adjustable length/height. Buy once cry once. I tried a few lower cost options that didnt work for me, and they added up to about what i paid for the Airflow. of course, you can get lucky and find a lower cost option. I thought about trying those deflector's that MPRblue recommended, but ended up going Airflow and have been happy since install, as well as just about everyone else who has installed them.

I'm 6'5" and installed a Moose Racing 'Shorty' and I love it. I could never get the OE windscreen to stop buffeting. 2012 V 1000.

I just installed a deflector thingy on my Puig windshield. I paid about $25 for it on Ebay. The deflector adds a little height to the windshield (or more, depending on how you adjust it), and it made a substantial improvement on helmet buffeting & helmet wind noise.

But that's not to say you won't get wind noise on a cross wind, so don't throw away your earplugs just yet.

18 1000 XT yellow. Bunch of goodies installed.
