OFF Road riding

I may have a different opinion of "off road" than some. I grew up riding in the woods where there were, at times, no trails at all to follow. Rutted paths to get to the next hillclimb or the next dirt logging road to get to somewhere else. While this video is a bit extreme in the boulders and logs, the truth is that they are dry and not so slick. Doable with a bit of practice and the right bike.

Which brings me to why I really wanted to post this! Listen to the instant response and control of this two stroke enduro bike. There is simply no substitute in tight, technical riding.

Gnarly.
This isn't trials, so I assume there is no penalty for putting a foot down?
That bridge he went over near the beginning barely looked wide enough for the bars to fit through.

I was talking to one of the pro desert racer guys I know about the extreme enduro type stuff and how it looks like more work than fun.

He brought up an interesting point, it's low speed for the most part. Much less chance of a serious injury compared to WFO across the desert.

That makes it appealing to him not to me though. That kind of riding reminds me a good ride gone bad!

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Cor 13:13

This is unreal. For sure this terrain is even gnarlier as seen from a non POV perspective.

It's interesting how a POV perspective doesn't do terrain justice, when a real life POV makes everything seem much worse than it is.

I had a bunch of kids down to Rolex on the weekend and they were riding 2 strokes which I love but that terrain makes Rolex look like a walk in the park.

I'm worn out just watching that...
