Do a google search for "virtual mailbox".
There are many entities that provide the service that the OP was wondering about. ie. provide a legal, physical address
eg.
https://www.virtualpostmail.com/

As for "snail mail" bills/invoices/renewal notices, etc........I can't remember the last one I received. Virtually all of mine come electronically and I can manage them from anywhere in the world utilizing a VPN.

I think this is more difficult than it needs to be.
Lots of statements- including bank statements, credit card statements, phone bills etc, are delivered via email. I think those categories don't care about where you are, because those bills aren't reliant on your physical location/address, whereas insurance for a vehicle does need that info.

Trust me, NO ONE would be happier than me if this is more difficult than it needs to be!

UPDATE as of 2 Sept 2019: All good. I never called my insurance company. When I logged into my insurance account online in mid-August, it stated that payment for the new billing year/cycle was pending. That payment was made, so... I think I'm good unless I hear otherwise from my insurance company. This is a temporary situation, so I'll be able to call them in a few weeks with a more permanent address to which they can send mail if need be.

When you call to let your insurance company know that you've moved, just be aware that your rates are likely to change. Differenct states have different minimum insurance coverages, different risk assessment tables, and different rates. I belive they'll have to write an entirely new policy for you. When I moved from PA to NC I kept the same carrier, but I had to have a new policy written. NC has different minimum insurance requirements than PA, and different rates for similar coverages, and I found that my insurance increased just by moving here. I can't recall exactly how much the increase was, but I probably wouldn't be too far off if I estimated a 10 percent jump.

Thanks, RCinNC. I'm bracing for any price increase. Whatever it is, I'll have to deal with it.
