New to the forum

Hi everyone, thought I'd say hi. I ve been riding for about 20 yrs but new to the V Strom. I just acquired my riding buddy's 2004 DL 1000. He just bought a new one. So far I love it. I am coming off a 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 cruiser. May sell it then again I might keep it. I think I like riding the V Strom better so far I think it's a hell of a bike. Plan on doing some touring on it since I like doing long distance rides.

touring on it

Welcome from a fellow Gen 1 DL 1000 owner. It's a great ride. Touring is really the best use for a Vee. Comfy on long trips. Also fun at the drag strip or track. Very versatile. This is a very informative forum, too. Lots of help here when you need it.

Welcome to the Forum. Do you have any sort of voltage monitoring system on your K4 Vee? You may want to read, an often reported complaint on some of the earlier model Vee. Enjoy your new ride.

Fairly standards farkles for this bike include mirror extender, fork brace, and peg and control lowering kit.
