Question blinking brake lights??

Well I went and put some blinking brake lights in my 05 wee. I thought that they were going to blink 4 times then stay on bright until I got off the brakes. that is what the advertising copy on ebay said they would do. what they do is blink rapidly 4 times, then OFF very briefly then 4 more quick blinks then OFF very briefly. this repeats as long as you have the brake on. I am not sure I like this. I am going to ride it some and see how other vehicles respond. if they respond or not.
I get different opinions on what exactly is legal in Arizona.
any thoughts from Vstrom riders? as we know they are smarter than the average rider.

I bought these on Amazon, they blink 3 or 4 times and then stay on, I just got them on the wee and was going to post, but I haven't had time. I think they are great, all the bikes are going to get them.

I went with an Admore light bar. Expensive, but super bright.

those look impressive and easy to install. did you go for the red or white?

if you do find the time to post a review, include a short vid too please. would love to see them in action.

Are you certain you can't "program" the lights? Even off-market lights I've seen advertised generally have the ability to change the flash rate and/or pattern.
Stalky Tracker and badjuju like this.

It is nice to have some preference to change the blinking pattern. However, anything that makes you more visible to vehicles behind you is a critical improvement.

Just curious as to what size did you get? I just got my '08 and ordered a owner's manual but it is not here yet.

I have an 08 as well and believe you need the 1157 base for the brake lights. 1156 for the turn signals.
