Hey All
I was wondering if anyone had any recent purchases for a current Gen [or even non current gen] Vstrom that will not break the bank. I just got a 2019 base model Wee in red, and have a few thousand to pay off left to pay bike off before i can invest in GOOD addons like crash bars, under guard, hand guards etc.
I was wondering if anyone had any success in getting el cheapo budget crash bars, engine guards or any cool addons for the Vstrom?

thanks in advance

That's interesting. Hadn't thought about lighting for inside the case, but there are definitely times that I'm parking or getting on the bike at night & it would be nice to see what I'm doing.

Just for giggles, I called around today to find out whether there is in fact a factory brake light kit available in the US, for the K48. Here's what I learned:

-the K48 is so friggin' old that the exact lighting kit (Kappa V90) was discontinued years ago.

-the US Givi distributor head office had no idea whether the seemingly identical V105 light kit (designated for K49 case) would work.

I emailed Kappa in Italy to ask. While Kappa is a Givi-owned brand, they have no US office or distributor.

I'm probably not going to buy the V105 anyways - too much $ for what it is IMO.

Thing is if you actually try to buy that, you get an error message:

This offer is not up to date, it is impossible to place order.
Probably because it's out of stock because it was discontinued years ago.

I'm thinking the V105 kit may work because it uses exactly the same product photos as the V90. The K48 and K49 cases have a seemingly identical "cylon eye" section where the light kit goes, too.

It's academic really. If I want lighting, I'll roll my own kit. Already have many of the electrical bits, just need to figure out the actual lights.
