Left foot on left foot peg

I always step with left foot on left foot peg, swing right leg over... unless bikes are tight in garage.. then I get on from right side.
Although, if the bike is on center stand.. then either side..

The “ride like a pro” guy on YouTube says the police teaches getting on and off from the right foot peg, due to safety (not dismounting into traffic). But that’s a 800lbs Harley. Haven’t dared doing this with my 650 yet, seems one would have to be fast to get the weight over so the bike doesn’t tip in the wrong direction.

I do it with the 650 easily. The trick is leaning your chest over the handlebars as you start to step up on the right foot peg to step over with your left leg. Think of your chest as the focal point for the weight, and you'll keep it directly above the gas tank. Bike won't tip right, it'll be just fine.
