Tried the Givi and the Madstad 18" adventure.
The Givi was about a 50% improvement over stock
The Madstad was about a 70% improvement
Handguards got rig of another 5%
Tank deflectors 10%
Lower and wider mirrors 5%
I could never get rid of all the buffeting but got it tolerable for 95% of my riding. The bad thing was that last little percent of buffering became more nd more noticeable. Once you ride without buffeting it get hard to tolerate it even for short durations. That last 5% of buffeting for me was at around 70 mph (right at cops aren't going to ticket you speed).
I have to wonder if you aren't actually talking about wind noise rather than buffeting.
It more than just he screen the tank deflectors, lower and wider mirrors and handguard all played a big part in it. The windscreen alone will not get most people to where they want.
I have to wonder if you are referring to wind noise
rather than buffeting. Do you ride without a helmet? Whether you do or don't, it my be worth considering one of the newer style full face or modular helmets that have the aerodynamic "lip" in the back. I have the stock windscreen and mirrors on my DL 650, and at 70+mph/112kmh I experience negligible buffeting with my 2017 Bell Race Star. Stiff crosswinds affect the bike much more than my head
Might just reduce your buffeting to zilch without going to a barweight-to-barweight-wide fairing.
