Nope not in my mind, although I believe many Strom owners to be as cheap as KLR owners.

The Strom might pick up a few potential KLR buyers but they could also go the other way with the DR650.

lol!

I would never put my bike through what klr maniacs do!

I see my bike more as a smart alternative to a GS.

Hands down a DR before a KLR. For 2 hrs or longer butt on seat adventure touring, neither. Ill stick with my V2. I got a Strom partially because I'm cheap, decided against the BMW for many reasons, didnt think I needed the ofroad capabilities of the KTM, and wasnt sold on the African Twins comfort.

After 12K miles, I found the suspension was holding me back offroad. I upgraded the rear shock & spring as well as fork valving and front springs this winter. Already had the enduro guardian skid plate and Delkavic exhaust. Hoping that all sets the bike up to be exactly what I wanted day 1 OEM from Suzuki.

I never liked the KLR, but I also grew up on the predecessor to the DR650.

I see no use for the KLR.

You mean a new but discontinued KLR?

Depends on the price.

Nothing wrong with the machine...better off pavement than the DL...not as good on pavement.

The DL can be made almost as good off pavement IMHO, but agree KLR not even in the same league on pavement.

The KLR has a reputation for being as reliable as an anvil and just as comfortable to sit on. The Strom achieves only the first of these.
