I don't think we disagree at all, the question he asked was how tough they are. We both agree they provide very minimal protection from impact, which is what a barkbuster or similar hand guard does a great job at. Wind protection like you said is ok, but does not fully cover your hand. Some folks have cut out pieces of plastic to extend the guards. I actually have some old rubber floor mats I was thinking of experimenting with

Shipping to US will not be cheap. Checked the shipping to California and lowest with tracking came to around $97 USD with in tracking number. Canada Post. This is for aluminum top case only, in original Suzuki box.
