Have you ever attended a V-Strom event??

Just seeking information.

Have you ever attended a V-Strom event?

Have you ever looked at the events section of the forum?

Did you know there is an events section of the forum?

Any desire to attend a V-Strom event?

Thanks

Help! How does the poll feature work?

Dodn't know if one could vote multiple categories or not but I've been to an event but never look at the events section. Not even sure how I found out about the events I attended in the past.

I don't generally go to the events section but I have gone to a lot of events, more in the past than lately.

I do look at "New Posts" here and if a thread has a descriptive title that interests me I will check out the thread. (For example "Spring 2018 - Romney, West Virginia - May 18 - May 20, 2018" is a great thread title.)

2012 DL650 139,500+ km, 86,700+ miles. Sold
2015 DL1000 New July 2015 200,000+ km, 125,000 miles.

This can help preventing from cars pulling out in front of you (SMIDSY)

I'm always very interested, but haven't been able to make it work out yet.

Let's just say that the amount of vacation time I have is extremely low and must be rationed in small doses, with the greatest care.

"Yes" to all your questions.

Will be attending my 6th Eastern V-Strom Rally in May. It will be the 16th Eastern V-Strom Rally held.

One of these years would like to make the western rally, i.e., Cache Rally, too.

Who wouldn't want to hang with fellow stromtroopers?!

North East Vstrom Association every year since its' inception. Romney WV again this year. Plus a number of more local get together with great riders who for the most part, ride Vstroms.

If you have never attended a Strom rally, and don't give a rats ass about stuff like that, consider attending one anyway.

If you can force yourself out of your comfort zone, you might just realize there is a lot to see and do that refreshes you and puts a smile on your face after you get back.

For me, the trip to the event is something I look forward to. Might seem strange to think two 5,6, or even 800 mile days back to back is fun. Closer events are fun too, just depends on where you live as to how all that works out.

I can be carrying a heavy burden the day before I pull out. By the second fill up I feel a LOT better. By the next morning the load is about off my shoulders. Then you pull in to the event location. If you have been around before, you can count on seeing some familiar faces. NOTHING like a family reunion, you will like all the people here! Something to be said for being around folks with a similar interest. Seems they cannot care if you are a Doctor or a garbage truck driver ( nothing wrong with that in my book anyway...). Unlike the family reunion, you just get on the bike and go explore when you want to. Can be the best vacation ever!

I found out about the Eastern VS Rally by luck. I was out on my previous superVee and met a few guys down at the "tree of shame" on Stroms. It so happened I was in the area during the Rally that year, but staying over in Bryson City. My new friends told me to come by Iron Horse and check out the Rally. I almost passed on it, but decided to stop in on Saturday. I knew I would return officially the next year.

I have attended 4 times now, but on 2 different Super Teneres. Yeah, I know....I have poor taste in motorcycles, but they let me come anyway. I am not normally into Rallys, but this one is just the right size and the Iron Horse Lodge is fantastic. I now visit IH Lodge several times a year on my wanderings through this area.

If you waited and get stuck in a tent, I should tell you the owner put the tent area close to the lodge and the grass is in great condition. Whether you camp or rent a bed, everybody is close to the main lodge and the clean showers, fire pit, good food and meeting area.
