2018 1000 XT brand new killer deal!

I found this today, I would buy it myself but I am not just ready yet. This is an OTD price except for tax and tags. I'm not sure what is going on with this but here it is for anyone in the market.

According to the ad, I am rather certain you cannot buy it at the listed price.

"Advertised pricing excludes applicable taxes title and licensing, dealer set up, destination, reconditioning and are subject to change without notice. Pricing may exclude any added parts, accessories or installation unless otherwise noted. Sale prices include all applicable offers. Not all options listed available on pre-owned models. Contact dealer for details."

Ads like this are very common on Cycle Trader. Bait to get you to come in or call.

Yeah, I was looking around CT the other day and found one for $9400.00

Most are down in GA and NC. If you can get someone to go in for you and get an OTD price for a fly and ride....

I have a local dealer that has...

'18 V-Strom 1000 ABS ... $10499!
'18 V-Strom 1000 XT ... $10299!

See if you can get a quote and the BS fees.

Not always true . Sport Cycles / Rockingham is , and has been for years, a no fee dealership. No fees of any kind. Friends of mine have bought from them several times and they say it was the best dealership experience ever. The Honda dealer in Chattanooga is the same way . No fees. NONE . Lots of people here around Knoxville go to Chattanooga and Rockingham to buy bikes . There is a Suzuki/ Kawasaki dealer in Hotchton, Ga. ( Northeast Georgia Motorsports) that has outstanding prices and used to sell with no fees , but I don't know if it's still that way. It's too bad good dealers are hard to find and bad dealers give them all a bad name.
So, before you cast judgement give 'em a call and see what they say . Plenty of good deals out there.

What he said, that is the OTD price plus tax n tags. Sports Cycle is one of the most reputable dealers I have ever know of. They really are that good. They sell all over the nation through their eBay store.

You have no idea, I have bought and sold dozens of bikes over my life, I have never ever regretted a sale like I do with the sale of my V Strom. I just paid off my new wing, so its a keeper for 2 up with the kid and wife. But, and there is always a but, the Strom was the most fun I have ever had on a bike ever. I am seriously drawn to 2017 650 in black, it just looks bad ass. But, another but, I also know I am too heavy for it, so I will be going with a Black 1000XT. I have to pay off my deductibles and max out of pocket charges for my transplants, as soon as that is done I will have a new 1000XT parked next to the Wing. If I had to choose just one, it would be the Strom, thank god I don't have to choose because my girls love the Goldwing.

I look forward, no but's about it, to reading your list of 1000XT farkles.
Starting with center stand choice.

SW Motech guards for R. brake reservoir, R. brake cylinder, exhaust pipe valve. Aprilia Tuono mirrors. GPR exhaust slip-on.
2006 DL1000, The Red Rhino. Gone for good.

I learned from the first one. This one will have a different approach. Givi aluminum top box, OEM center stand, Rear hugger, Givi crash bars, Airflow shield and Denali lights, and that is a wrap. I am sure some small things like the sparkbright LED voltage monitor, power plug and Ram X grip, but that's about it.
