Fog lights

Which one do most of you use a flood or a spot for your auxiliary lights?

Floods for me. They can be seen better by oncoming traffic.
Some do 1 of each.

when I have mine completed, one will be fog and the other will be a driving light(maybe a Eurobeam), I will also have the driving light relayed so that it can only come on with high beams, I'm not out to blind people like some a-holes, fog will cast yellow light

I'm not concerned about visibility, if they can't see me commin now, auxiliary lights won't help, and I don't need to be more conspicuous than I already am, my only need is better vision at night

I use a spot light on my left side and a flood on the right. The spot is pointed at the windshield of cars pretty far off and the flood is pointed to where people would be turning in front of me. Probably just imagining things but it does seem like less people pull out in front of me with them.

Both

Light on left is flood and they're mounted low on the crashbars and spots are mounted under the chin.

This is an important discussion when using low output (~550 Lumen) lights (e.g., cheapie Amazon.com lights). As light output increases it becomes less critical. "25 degree Spots" are generally very visible from all angles at 900 or more Lumen. Our 1100 Lumen lights are quite conspicuous at any angle that matters. Same would be true for other similar highly efficient lights.

I've had these fog lights on my KLR/Scout/FZ. I've wised up and took them off the FZ to use on the upcoming Wee. For the $57, they are awesome. pix are of dark street/dark house across the street and same with aux lights on.
