Cheap Pelican Style Cases

I am in Sam's Club and they have huge ballistic cases on sale for $40 each. They are big: 24 x 19 x 9.5. They seriously look indestructible. They also have wheels, but it looks like the whole handle and wheels are removable. I'll try to post up pics later.

Thanks for posting this. I've been looking for a top case for the KLR. I've checked military surplus type places and found tons of ammo cans which are too tall and narrow. I didn't even consider looking at Sam's. I'm not a member but know some people who are...

Wonder if Costco has them, hmmm...

I'se a Costco guy and haven't checked the online sales for a item like this.
If I knew a Sam member I'd get a set for the heck of it. Such a deal!

I wish I could find another supplier for these, at that price. The smaller one is also on Amazon, but it's $70.00 on there. Members Mark obviously doesn't make them; the company looks a lot like Amway, based on the products they sell. Love to figure out who else imports them....

Yes,

I thought you might want an update to your Seahorses. I added the item to the cart and followed the steps to purchase and there was a link that said, "create a guest account." Perhaps you can buy them without a membership.

Burque, try looking on line at a company called MCM Newark (Newark element14 Electronics | Electronic Components Distributor). They sell a line of very reasonably priced Pelican style imports that are strong, durable, and well made. I've been using the same set now on two different bikes for around 60,000 miles, and they're still going strong. This is how they look on a bike:

Here's a link to their case that's about the equivalent of a Pelican 1550: 22-24120 - DURATOOL - Equipment Case, Weatherproof, Polypropylene, Black, Foam Insert, 22.5" x 16.5" x 8.5" | Newark element14

The company? Members Mark is Sam's house brand, like "Kirkland" is for Costco. I'll have to check Amazon to see what you're seeing.

Looks like a guest can print a temporary pass and make purchases in the store for a 10% markup.

Not bad on a $30 or $40 purchase.
