didn't already have me as a customer for life, they do now.
When I got my Yamaha Virago back in 2009, I got a Kryptonite disc brake lock
for it. The bike died about 3 years ago, and all my gear went into a box. My wife drove that box down with her to L.A. for me this summer as I got ready to get my new-to-me Wee. The box had the lock, but not the keys, and neither of us had any idea where the keys would be (we'd moved house 3 or so times since I had the Yamaha).
But I was pretty sure I'd registered the keys with Kryptonite, so I pinged them
I have a Kryptonite motorcycle lock, Evolution Series 4. My last motorcycle died a couple of years ago, but now I have a new motorcycle. I want to use this lock if I can, but I think I lost the keys. I *think* I registered the keys, but I can't remember. Could you please look up and see if I did register the keys with you?
I figured if they found the info, they'd ping me for credit card info to pay $20 for two new keys, and then they'd send me the keys. Instead, keys arrived in the mail yesterday, with a packing slip/invoice that said "Cost: 20.00 Discount: 20.00 Balance due: 0.00"
I Am Impressed. Like I said, customer for life. (I also use a Kryptonite lock on my bicycle, and have done so for each of my last 3-4 bicycles over the last couple of decades.)
