2012 650 display question

OK I just got my first vstrom about a week ago. Its a 2012 650 and I absolutely love it! The previous owner did not have the owners manual and I have searched all over the Internet as well as these forums for what I am about to ask but have had no luck. Now I'm sure it's probably very obvious and I'm just a complete moron but what do the little o's mean in the bottom right of my display? They can be selected to be just one or multiple like this........ooooo.

It's the brightness level of the display.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

If you can set that clock without the manual youre back to a genius. I stared at those ooo a while and finally read my owners guide book that came with my 12 Wee. Then I ran with Imperial mileage displayed for a while and it had been so long i forgot how to cancel the signals. All better now

It's the last thing when you cycle through the odometer /trip meter.

2012 650 display question

There is nothing moronic about needing help with the display settings. The dash has some good info but it it is very user friendly.

Edit: it is NOT very user friendly

I think "it it is" was supposed to be isn't. Its options are not intuitive.
