Numb Hand New Discovery

I apologize for not posting this in the most recent thread on this subject. In my post of a couple weeks ago I agreed sitting ramrod straight, as another had advised, was the solution. I have right hand numbness. I have been on trips last several months totaling 2.5K mi and never had numbness. I began to wonder because I was sitting up straight but not "that" straight and not all the time; one 12 hour day. Past couple days I rode around Olympic Penn, about 475 mi, and sometimes I wore Revit Stratos GTX, a heavy winter Gore-Tex glove, which I have used for several years, and my right hand got numb very quickly. Sitting up very straight with elbow locked did not help. Putting some traction on the arm did not help. These gloves are the largest size they make when I got them, but are tight and difficult to get on. The rest of time, I used Revid Fly 2 vented summer gloves in size XXXXL. These are large enough to be loose, my fingers cannot touch the ends of the glove and there is no numbness even if I lean into the grips. I took both gloves on this trip and the Fly never numbed me and the Stratos always did, and it is a size smaller at XXXL. I decided to use the Fly 2 and turn up the grip heaters. The Stratos has a size XXXXL but on extended backorder, which I think means unavailable. If I can get them in the bigger size I'll go for it give my lucky riding buddy the smaller ones. Son of a Gun!

I had a similar problem while touring on my bike. I could be wrong but I think this has nothing to do with your riding equipment. I installed SW-Motech handlebar risers (30mm/1.2 inches) ... now it's drama free riding for me.

I have a pair of gloves that will do that to me in combination with one of my jackets as well.
I just figured it was constricting things in my wrist area...

It's not just wrist, a jacket that's tight at shoulder or elbow will do the same.

No doubt,I'm just saying with those gloves I have problems. With my looser gloves I dont.

gloves helped but a crampbuster with the .99 cruise control solved it for me. If you are not tightly gripping you have proper circulation. https://imgur.com/a/O51li
