New Exhaust installed

I just installed a 14" Delkevic exhaust and I have to say its drop dead beautiful. The stainless steel makes the bike look "serious" over the stock plastic covered muffler and pipe. The sound is great but its a bit loud for me, even with the baffle installed. Its fine on acceleration but on the freeway the volume gets annoying. Any ideas on how to dampening the sound a bit? Its just too harsh for these sensitive ears.

Too many trips down the drag strip 1977-1987,chain saws, and IBM machine floor for 27 years have made me even worse than most as old as me. A 1946 model with hearing of a 1937 model.Guess your sound would be just right for this old bear? A pic would be nice but most anything done to a Vstrom does not help in looks IMO. Like lip stick on a wart hog, but we love them!
chicago and VSrider like this.

No luck sending pictures. You can see the actual piece on the Delkevic website. The pictures are of a 650 vstrom with the "can" attached. So far I'm extremely pleased with the system even though the sound is a bit loud for me. I went with the polished stainless steel as it was $204. Installation was a snap once I figured it out. Weight is half the stock system, 20# vs 10#.
