Question handle bar risers/bar backs

Hi,

I've been reading a bit about rox, tusk and motech risers/bar backs.

Has anyone used the zeta bar backs?

Have you thought about higher bars I found this gave me the height and a more comfortable bend

I got a pair of risers, SW motech that their site says are for a BMW GS and the fit on my 05 Wee just fine, no new brake lines or new cables. And a unmarked pair I put on my 04 Wee that brought the bars up an inch. No changes in hardware there either.
I had Rox risers on my 800GT BMW and those could be adjusted fore and aft to where you liked them. Then cinch them down.

I added 2" Rox Risers to my 05 DL1000 and did not have to adjust or add anything to any of my cables.

I have the Zeta risers from Revzilla on my bike. Up 25mm back 30mm if I remember correctly. I simply installed them and tightened them evenly. No rerouting of cables. Made a big difference in comfort for me. I sat on Vindex1963's bike with 1" straight risers. Similar experience, I don't know which I prefer. I am completely happy with mine, so it probably doesn't matter.

Well,
I found even more more bar back/riser brands but I have ordered the the zeta's, 26 higher and 20mm back risers. Price is good for Aus and shouldn't need too much cable re-routing. Will report back on how they fit me,
thanks,

What year model strom are you fitting this to there gleeful? Have a '16 650 and after my ride last weekend I was giving the risers idea some thought.

I didn't have to reroute any cables on mine. Good luck. I hope they suit you.

handle bar risers/bar backs

@Scromple
1" straight, or the Zeta up and backs will work without rerouting cables on the 2012-2016 650s. Because of the fork angle, the straight is up and back, and the up and back are more back than up. I hadn't thought about that until I bought mine. The Zeta's eliminated the shoulder pain for me. After sitting on a bike with the 1" straight, I think that would have worked for me as well.
