Question about Garmin Zumo 660 wiring

I'm looking at connecting my Garmin Zumo motorcycle mount to the aux 12v connection near the right headlight under the cowling of my Vstrom DL650. I already have the adapter cable from Eastern Beaver to wire into that connection, just need to figure out which cables from the Zumo mount get connected to the Eastern Beaver wiring.

On the Zumo mount wiring, a thick wire comes out the mount and goes to a 4-way splitter. I cut that splitter off since I didn't want all those extra wires I will never utilize like the XM radio connection, Audio out, etc (I know most people cut after the splitter and just cut the 3 other cables off...but I wanted less wiring coiled up and didn't want that splitter there). I just need power. Skinning back the thick wire coming out of the Zumo, I see two red and black wires wrapped in foil. One of those sets is also wrapped in a soft mesh over the foil (see photo below, it's the set on top obviously).

I'm pretty sure the red/black set with the additional soft mesh wrapping is the powering cables for the Zumo mount..but before I fry my Zumo or screw something up...I wanted to verify....anybody here know for sure this is correct? I know that what may be logical isn't always necessarily so...so doesn't hurt to get a second opinion.

Lighten up, Francis. If you can't take some sarcasm, an Internet forum is the last place you should be.

This link will answer your questions.

One warning, once you do this it is not easy to go back and these cradles are getting hard to find.

Thanks ltljohn. His picture doesn't show two different red/black...one with braiding...but his words does. I followed his link and got a good picture...DO NOT USE the set with the braiding. Check. Thanks!
