Iridium plugs

I just read a post over on THE RIGHT under RECENT DISCUSSIONS where someone asked if the IRIDIUM plugs were worth $ 14?? each.
Now, I cant find the original post to reply so here goes:

I bought a set of the IRIDIUM plugs for my machine but haven't installed them yet. I wouldn't pay $ 14 (X4) for them but I did pay about $ 27 for all four with FREE SHIPPING at Sixity ATV Parts, Motorcycle Parts, and Snowmobile Parts | Sixity.com For the SEVENISH dollars per plug, I figured WTH.

Perhaps this ANSWER will find its way to the QUESTION...sort of like JEOPARDY.

The best way to save $$ is not follow Suzuki schedule on it. It can wait to 30,000 miles or even more.

Yes, they are worth it IF you get the 'right' price as you did.
I run them about 30k miles & change 'em when I have the plastic off to check / adjust the valves, (after the 1st @ 15k miles) along with the coolant & brake fluid flush. :beatnik:

Pretty sure my 15 XT comes with them, so I will think about replacing them around 60K.

I have 120,000 Km on my (iridium-odball ?) 2007 Ford F150 spark plugs and this is WITHIN SPEC in the manual.

I dont toss away used plugs, I clean/regap them at about 25000 and put em back in. Has worked for me for decades.

There are 22,000 Km on the Vees OEMs and all is well getting 47MPG loaded at 65 mph. I may look at them @ 30,000

Iridium plugs CR8EIX on the Strom 1000 are good for at least 50,000 miles.
