rear wheel nut is really tight

time to change my oem rear . i started to remove the nut when i loosen the nut maybe a 1/4 turn it feels like its getting tighter any suggetions 2014 wee 1st time for the tire to come off

Are you sure you're turning it the right way?... Keep turning it... and a tip... you have to use a wrench on the other side too... otherwise the axel may spin with the nut....

i got it off with a breaker bar.i dont know if they ship these bikes with the tires on or if the dealer mounts them but that was waaay tight

Check that the threads are in good shape. Then use anti seize on them and torque to 58lb-ft like RCinNC's linked thread indicates.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
