use of piaa lights on the wee

will the alternator on the wee put out enough juice to safely power a pair of piaa 510 driving lights @ 55 watts each?

You have somewhere around 120 peak watts available (less if it's an ABS), so you'll be sucking up almost all of the excess juice.

If you want to use the 510 PIAA lights, go with a 35 watt bulb. That is what I have on my DL-650. I also have Symtec heaters, and a GPS. With everything running, (PIAA lights on, grip heaters on, GPS recharging, and headlight on "high"), my voltmeter will show 13.8 to 13.9 @ 5,000 rpms. If I drop in speed, the volts will also drop to around 12.8. It is rare that I have everything on "full blast" though. Usually, my voltmeter will show 13.9 to 14.1 under what I consider normal riding conditions for me.
