Grease Fittings On Centerstand?

Has anyone tried and successfully done this? I have a SW-Motech centerstand on my bike and although I keep it lubricated, it sometimes doesn't spring back with a convincing "thump" when I take off. I've been thinking about installing grease fittings to each "female" sides of the stand to keep it better lubricated.

Thanks,

B.

I've done it and I'm glad. There is just enough room to the rear of the pivots for a 1/8" NTP fitting. I got one in just right and can grease it on the center stand. The other is a little high and I have to put the bike on the side stand and hold the center stand down to access the nipple. If it's put in too low, the stand will hit it when retracted. I didn't put a groove around the pivot pins to distribute grease all around but the clearance is large enough to get the grease where it's needed.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Yes, I was studying my stand last evening and figured that the fittings had to be just "so" to make it all viable.

Thanks for the feedback.
