Givi V46

When you order the Givi trunks, do they come with the mounting plates or do you have to get that separate?

Mounting hardware is not included with cases. It must be ordered for the specific bike model the cases will be used with.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

The mounting plate is included with some or all of the Monolock cases. It was with my E33. These, however, are for lighter duty applications than the Monokey line.

True. When I think Givi cases, monokey is the only one that comes to mind.

i have the givi v46...got the universal rack..it fits pretty good with a bit of modification to the plate.

you have to take off the oem rack and grab rails, attach the givi uni plate to it then bolt it all back using the original bolts. i had to cut a couple of bits away from the uni rack so i could get at the original bolts...but it all gets covered over with a plastic screw-on top plate, so it loooks neat...
mmm....this makes no sense...maybe just get the givi bracket for the strom. hehhe.
i have the uni cus i put the givi on another bike too....

sorry if this is incomprehensible...

One consideration with the V46 is passenger room if you ride 2 up. A stock GIVI mounting plate might put a V46 too far forward for some passengers to be comfortable.

I think I had a V46 with my stock GIVI mounting plate and I was going to move it back 2" with an adaptor plate or place some spacers that move the box back.

But before I did that I ended up mounting an older E42 or E40 that I had (I'm not sure what model my present box is). That box was much roomier, 2" for the passenger. I lost out on the nicer V46 box which I really liked but I didn't have to mess with adaptors.

My wife was cramped so I got the adjustable rack fromadventure moto stuff, get some Solstice tape also and do the reflector here as I did for additional nightime safety.

Now for the flash:

You can see right in the middle is not reflected where it say GIVI above the lock, although it is the lens. The tape makes a huge difference

"Pain is weakness leaving the body"
"Nothings possible until its done!"
"If ya can't afford the fine, take the lead!"
