JC Whitney Trunks

Ok, Looking at the JCW Web site. Anybody got the trunk with the spoiler?
Not sure if I want that one or the standard clam shell Givi looking medium trunk.

Get whichever is cheaper. I had a JCW topbox on my late KLR...installed it with the bottom plate so it would be removable, but about two weeks of KLR vibes rendered the attaching latch mechanism inoperable so I bolted it directly to the KLR's tail bracket. Although no longer removable it served its purpose.

Just remember that you get what you pay for. It can't be compared in any way to the GIVI box except for color and the fact that it opens and closes and has a key.

Actually, the one off e-bay is a MUCH better trunk. I have had both and would not buy the JCW after seeing and using the Bestmen.

I don't think I would dare use mine as a back rest.

I've not had any problem with my JCW topcase, even using it as a backrest. I did paint the ugly orange stripe around the middle.
