new idea to replace busted turn signal

I need to replace my right front turn signal. I've read about the buell signals but I'd prefer to get a stock replacement. I just don't want to spend $50 for it. I saw dennis kirk has replacements that look like they match the stock suzuki signal. From the pictures, it looks like the stalk, where it matches up with the fairing, is the only difference. My stalk is fine. Just the lense and the housing got busted. My question is, would it be possible to order one of these:
Dennis Kirk Turn Signal

then remove the housing from the end of the stalk and install it on my factory suzuki stalk?

actually, I just realized these are $35. I originally thought it was $20. After shipping, it'll probably be around $40 - $45. I'd be better off getting one from the dealer that I know fits.
