Knoxville to Birmingham AMA Race ride

I am thinking about riding to Birmingham from Knoxville to watch the AMA Superbike races at Barber Motorsports during the weekend of April 19 and 20. Anyone planning this trip also? I will be riding a DL650. I am 55 years old and want to ride an easy scenic route and pace.

Cut through Nashville and head down the Natchez Trace Parkway for about a hundred miles. Relatively scenic and if you're into history it's pretty interesting. The first 15 miles are a lot of fun to ride. Not hard-core twisty but still a lot of fun.

As you can see by my (current) avatar I've been to Barber a couple of times

B'ham route

I've driven/ridden K-town to B'ham MANY times. On a bike the I-states truly suck! When I'm on a bike and not in a hurry, I like US411 to Cleveland/Chattanooga and then the Lookout Mountain Scenic Parkway south out of Choo-choo town. When the parkway ends, continue on AL157 and AL273 to Gadsden and then US411 from there to Barber. I have the route in a Garmin gdb file if you can use that. Email me off-list if you want it. Barber is a GREAT track - enjoy!
