Ride Video - I Love My Strom..

A ride video from today.. I really love my Strom.. Such a versatile and easy to handle, compliant steed that is willing to take a flogging and keep on running.

Two way.. road.. The lane is shared for both directions, thats why I am cautious around the blind corners and bullish on the corners I can see through.

Few things are scarier than finding the opposing grill of an oncoming car in a blind corner.

Woot! Seems I can ride for miles without seeing an oncoming vehicle, til the first blind curve...there's a truck! I expect to see them now.

Beautiful country you have to play in

Couple of weeks ago I came around a blind corner to find an oncoming Cal Fire truck coming the opposite direction. His left wheel was over the nose and bumper were well over the center line as he was negotiating the corner. I was positioned about 1/3 into my lane from the edge and had to swerve and ended up in the dirt to avoid being tagged by the truck as it lurched through the corner.

There was some serious pucker factor in that scenario.

You found one of the 'back' road goat trails from Skyline to the coast. Did you ride it all the way and come out on the PCH? Amazes me the little towns tucked away in them hills.
