Please read....all new members and "current" members!!!

WELCOME TO THE SITE IF YOU ARE NEW, WE ARE GLAD YOU ARE HERE. PLEASE BROWSE ALL THE AVAILABLE SECTIONS "FIRST" FOR THAT SPECIAL QUESTION OR CONCERN THAT YOU MAY HAVE REGARDING THESE WONDERFUL MOTORCYCLES.

WE ARE GETTING ALLOT OF THE SAME TOPICS STARTED BY NEW MEMBERS AND "CURRENT" MEMBERS, AND MOST INFORMATION YOU SEEK IS ALREADY WITHIN REACH. I AM NOT TRYING TO BE A JERK....JUST SIMPLY TRYING TO SAVE SOME BANDWITH ON THE SITE, AND KEEPING REDUNDANT THREADS FROM OCCURING "EVERY SINGLE DAY". ONE OF THE FEW SECTIONS WHERE TOPICS TEND TO BE DIFFERENT FROM DAY TO DAY, IS THE OFF TOPIC AND MEMBER THERAPY SECTION. IT IS A FUN SECTION THAT IS QUITE POPULAR IN THE WINTER MONTH'S. IF YOU SEE A THREAD TOPIC THAT YOU POSTED IN THE OTHER MOTO-SPECIFIC SECTIONS AND IT MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARS....DON'T TAKE IT PERSONAL, JUST TRYING TO KEEP GOOD HOUSEKEEPING ON THE SITE.

THANKS,

BRIAN

I have a suggestion that may have been floated here before - could we have a section of the site that has answers to commonly asked questions, or links to threads on common subjects? Like a FAQ, and all new and current users could look there first. For example: what kind of oil? (links to best threads) What to do about buffeting (link to thread, Madstad page, etc.)

I'm sure this would be pretty labor intensive ... I'd be willing to help out with it, though I'm no whiz at html.

Yes I would also like to see that....I will be talking to Brendan and Tige soon and see how we want to go about doing this. Thanks for the good suggestion!

It's a perfectly sensible attitude to take towards any type of forum where support can be requested, however I believe there is a major hinderance to your request:

Quote:
Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search :
I can't search for oil, GPS, wind or a host of other "too common" words that I might need help for - a less diligent forum user will simply give up at this point and just ask their question... IMHO.

Ok, how about this, making all those way too frequent questions as 'sticky' answers so they're right at the top of each forum.

This should work for most tech stuff, oil, tires and buffeting etc.

The current 'stickies' might also be removed as there seems to be too many that shouldn't be there.
