Bead Seat Best Price

I want to pick up a bead seat. What fits best on the V and who has the best price. I checked Whitehorse, shipped to me is about 35 bucks. It looks kind of small though. Planning a trip next weekend so I want to get it ordered by Monday............
Thanks..............jim

>>I want to pick up a bead seat.<<

Have you actually tried one yet? I thought I wanted one too, and actually bought it. However, after one ride I took it off and sold it off. For me, I didn't much care for the wind whistling around my butt plus, when I came to a stop I felt like I was sliding forward. Many folks seem to like them, but they're not for everyone. YMMV

Wind whistling around your butt is the whole point.

There really is nothing like a well-ventilated undercarriage. It's breathtaking; I suggest you try it...

I think I just may. I have been using the Airhawk for a while now and it's way better than the stock seat. I did 5500 miles in 10 days and there is no way I could have done it with just the stock seat. I'm planning a 3 day 1800 miler this weekend but didn't have time to get the beads yet. I did go with the 20mm higher Suzuki seat, lowered the pegs 1" and added 30mm bar risers. Took a trip to Green Bay last week, 250 round trip and all seems better than ever. We'll see..........

jgonzo,

Which airhawk product do you use on your Vee? Is it a cushion or an actual seat?

Just the cushion. Not the good one either, I cheaped out at the last minute when I bought it. Got the Airhawk 2.......should have went with the better one but it still works well. I have read good things about the new DS model.......

Does the seat cushion keep you from sliding forward on the OEM seat?

Here's a protip. If it bunches up, use a Dremel to cut a notch along the length of the bead and pop it with a flat head screwdriver. The threading stay intact.
