Where to buy Power Commander 5 ?

Is Sport Rider a good place to buy my Power Commander 5?
I'm finally ready to try a power commander.
My 2012 DL1000 still needs to be smoother, even after the updated ECU.
It's better than it was, but still unacceptable.
I'm really hoping power commander will solve the problem with
My brand new 0 miles; when I bought it 3 months ago, motorcycle
has never run right or acceptable.
But I love how this bike sits! I am ready to upgrade the
poor brakes, suspension, seat Ect....
BUT
I am not gonna spend such money until the darn thing
runs proper....
I hate engines that don't run right.

Someone please tell me this VStrom 1000 can be made to run right!
I'm still really frustrated, but I know I'm gonna love this bike with all
upgraded everything.
I think $2000 will do everything to make it a great bike.
But not till this engine runs right.

Runs proper?

This all depends on what you were riding before. In my case it was a KLR 650 (very dependable but no power). After doing a throttle body sync, putting in iridium plugs and doing the suggested maintenance my 2009 Vee runs very well (no after market parts). On the other hand if you previously rode a crotch rocket ...

I got mine from Fuel Moto with a pretty good map (as did many of us here).
It can be made right! I'm loving mine right now.

Good, fuel moto.
Also my last bike was a klr650.
I know the difference between a weak engine that runs fine, and a poor running engine.

You might ask Blair Layton at svracingparts.com if he has created maps for the Power Commanders he sells.

"Older people who are reasonable, good-tempered, and gracious will bear aging well. Those who are mean-spirited and irritable will be unhappy at every period of their lives.

"Let each of use properly whatever strengths he has and strive to use them well. If he does this, he will never find himself lacking."

I liked my first map (included with the PC-V) from Fuel Moto but was wanting better gas milage on the highway which they delivered a new map to me via e-mail in just a couple of days. This is part of their service to you as a customer. Bike runs great.
