Are you looking at Suzuki sites using the old part number? I don't see a problem finding a proper filter otherwise.

oil filters
AMSOil SMF 109
Baldwin B7419
Bike Master 314-0025
Champion PH7016
Cycle Power 314-1919
Emgo 10-55662
Emgo 10-55660
Fram PH6018
Hi-Flo HF138 <-- Recommended
J.C.Whitney ZX063166P
K&N 138 <-- Recommended
NAPA Gold 1359 (at UAP/NAPA) <-- Recommended
WIX 51359 (at UAP/NAPA) <-- Recommended
Parts Unlimited
Per-Form J-509
ProPart 01-0029
Purolator ML16818 <-- Recommended
STP SMO-18
Suzuki 16510-03G00-X07 or 16510-07J00 <-- Recommended
VESRAH vsf-3009

Recommended means John Weldon at VSRI cut it apart and liked what he saw. He has not checked all makes.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

eBay is your friend. Cheap oil filters for the win!

No, they won't make your bike implode.

Proper motorcycle training is like wearing a helmet. You can ride for 30 years without one and make a case that you've never needed it. Until you do but then it's too late to make that decision.

Yes. Suzuki has been using the same filters for most of their bikes for longer than V-Stroms have been made.
