Screw type master links

I just purchased a new EK chain and sprocket set from Blair. I ordered a screw type master link with the chain. Anyone tried these links? If so, how do they hold up?

Quite a few people have used them. I have yet to see a report of a problem.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

I used it - but only had about 15000 miles on that link before I traded that bike in.

I installed one and didn't like the way to 'looked'. Removed it and went with a rivet type.

"I installed one and didn't like the way to 'looked'."

That's an interesting observation. When I look at my chain I'm looking for rust and kinks and wear, not aesthetics.

I have one on now, no problems so far. I didn't like the way it "looked" either, so I consulted a stylist and a light touch of eye shadow fixed it right up.

I think someone needs to take a picture of this ugly duckling on the bike. Anyone?

Ok, to edumucate the masses not in the know...these just screw on the chain? Any special tools needed? Do they get the red loctite or something?

Lighten up, Francis. If you can't take some sarcasm, an Internet forum is the last place you should be.
