Take Out

My wife wants me to pick up dinner. I want to ride my bike. How do you guys recommend carrying carryout on my bike? I have no saddle bags or anything. Plenty of rope and bungees.

Thanks.

You're Mr. Stevens?

I use my top case, but do you have a Bungee net? If so that might work.

..Tom

My Opinion:
Vee or V= DL1000 before 2014
Vee2 or V2 = DL1000 2015 to 2019
Vee3 or V3 = DL1050 2020 to?

My Stroms:
2006 DL650: 202,000 km 125,500 miles, Sold
2012 DL650 139,500+ km, 86,700+ miles. Sold
2015 DL1000 New July 2015 205,000+ km, 127,000+ miles.

This can help preventing from cars pulling out in front of you (SMIDSY)
SMIDSY detailed report.

Top box. I used to get Chinese food, packed it into my side cases and took them to pre-designated, by my wife, picnic area. I once tried to carry pizza on the back adventure plate. I strapped it down to the bike and off I went. On the last turn onto the driveway the pizza went whammmm onto the pavement. We had pizza with shifted toppings.

Sandwiches/subs in a backpack? I usually just expand my tank bag and shove stuff in there to keep things from bouncing around in my tail box.

No top box or net. I'm picking up ribs and stuff in the traditional styrofoam container.

Take the car to pick up the food, then go for a nice ride after dinner.

Man...I was hoping that wasn't the answer. You're probably right. I'd rather eat dinner than wear it.

If it doesn't fit in a cooler I take the car.
