Mix and match Tourance an Anakee 3?

I have been running Metzler Tourances on my '06 DL 1000, and I like them. Some trusted friends have been saying good things about the Anakee 3's (not the 2's) and I'd like to try them. I'll need a new rear pretty soon, but of course the Tourance on the front is fine. What do folks here feel about leaving the front Tourance on, and putting an Anakee 3 on the rear? My recollection is that it's not considered a great idea to mix and match tires, but I hate to toss a good Tourance on the front, just to try the transition to the Anakee. Thanks for your opinions.

Mix and match away, I do it all of the time. I am currently running a Shinko 705 rear and a front Dunlop TR91.
