Question atv lift on v-strom

newbe here, I just bought 2006 dl1000 and when I had my harley bager i used an atv lift to raise it and move it around the garage, it worked great, but i let it go with the harley, and before i buy another one i wanted to see if any one thought they would work on my bike, thanks in advance.

Garage
Are you talking about the garage jacks/lifts that look like this?

If so, no, it won't work as a vstrom doesn't have frame rails under the engine like an HD.

EDIT: I may have spoken too soon, reading the next 2 responses. Apparently it can be made to work with some adaptation.

I use an ATV lift on my Wee. I do it kinda like LucasD does in this thread:
https://www.stromtrooper.com/dl650-20...g-up-bike.html

Once strapped down to the jack, it's very secure. I keep mine there all winter.

Some guys like tying it to the ceiling, which is also very good but much less mobile...

1983 Nighthawk 550
1990's Vulcan 750

2004 DL650

There are still faint glimmers of civilization left in this barbaric slaughterhouse that was once known as humanity... Most of them ride V-Stroms.

I have an adapter made by Dan Vesel from over at V-Strom Riders International. It is made of steel and supports the bike using the factory lift points. Works well with my Sears Craftsman motorcycle lift.
