Questions about potential bike purchase

I was contacted by a seller on another site who said he has a '07 w/ ABS, with about 52,000 miles on it. He said it was meticulously taken care of, and just had the valves looked at 4,000 miles ago. New brakes, battery, and tires in 2011 and not much miles since then. No damage to bike. Most of the miles happened up to 2011, and then the bike only got ridden 2-3 times each year since around the county he lives in. Said he does the filter/fluids every spring, even if he only rode it 70 miles the year before.

It's priced a little under 3 grand, very lightly farkled, no luggage. I think the price is very good, and I'd be adding quite a few miles with some very long distance road trips planned in the next three years.

My questions:

Does this amount of high miles scare anybody away from this type of purchase?

Should anything be automatically replaced in prep for a long upcoming trip? It's on original bulbs, battery has very little use but four years old, etc.

Does the stock suspension on the Stroms wear out about now and should be replaced/upgraded?

Any words of wisdom? Yes..I know nothing about motorcycles...at all...other than riding...but am trying to learn.

Lighten up, Francis. If you can't take some sarcasm, an Internet forum is the last place you should be.

At 52,000 miles the engine is about 25% worn out. No worries.
2011 tires should be fine. Check the (likely 2007) rubber valve stems for cracking.
The battery might be OK, or might be poor due to lack of periodic charging. Easy to check.
Which fluids? Figure two years for coolant (unless a long-life 5 year coolant was used), two years for brake fluid. Not a bad idea to renew the fork oil at this point. Annual oil change is wise for a low mileage bike, but I'd prefer the new oil in the Fall--not a big point, however.

Take a very good look at all the rubber parts. Radiator hoses are probably OK, but look. Hold a brake hose tightly in one hand and squeeze the lever with your other hand. If you feel the hose expand more than the very slightest, replace them all (stainless is likely cheaper than stock). Otherwise the brake hoses are probably fine. You can see how thick the brake pad material is remaining--2 mm is the minimum.

The most important thing is to take a very good look at everything. You'll spot anything that doesn't look good. Take a test ride. The bike should track straight on a flat, level road with just fingertip pressure on the bars. Brakes should be smooth. Engine should be smooth. Clutch and shifting should be smooth. It is probably a great bike.
