Looking to borrow a wee

I'm looking to borrow a 2012 or newer wee strom for a weekend. I'm wanting to buy one and I want to do an extended ride to make sure it's what I want.. We can either do a ride together over the weekend or we don't have to.. I will offer up my bike as collateral and its a 2005 Yamaha FJR1300.. I will add your wee to my full coverage insurance and keep it garaged while in my possession. I also hope that when I eventually get one we can then be riding buddies. Anyone interested please let me know

I have owned at least 20 street bikes (best that I can remember). My '13 dl650 is in the top three favorite. Take the plunge, you won't be disappointed.

I like my FJR a lot it's just not exactly what I wanted and it was a good price and I was getting restless and wanted to get something. I know I will def miss the power on and open road and how quickly it'll hit triple digits but I'm hoping that having a different bike will change that

The wee loves the back roads where triple digits are highly overrated! My only triple digit experience with mine was passing a car on the highway. Speed limit 55, car going 55, me wanting to go faster. I downshifted, twisted the throttle and began passing. Before I was back in my own lane I looked at the speedo and it read 103mph. I was stunned, I had no idea I was going that fast. I'm not a high speed kind of rider. I like the country roads but felt perfectly comfortable at that speed.

I miss my FJR1300. I had an 04. If you were local to me I'd be down for such an exchange.

To determine if I liked a wee better than my vulcan I bought an inexpensive 05. If it ever gets warmer I'll ride both a lot and get a new bike of whichever I like better.

I would think if you could find a dealer with a used one (already prepped and mileage not an issue) you could motivate them to let you do just that.

I have owned quite a few bikes and by far it's a toss up which is my favorite between my 03 FJR and my now 05 Wee.

Hope you get a taker and can work that out, I too am betting you will be pleasantly surprised with either Strom model. I had a C14 for 4 years, now I am back to a 1000 Strom again............it does not bore me in the least bit compared to the stupid power and speed capable on the C14 I can assure you.
