One advantage to SoCal . . .

Changed the oil today so I had to put some miles on to make sure everything is tight, right?

Had to break out the perforated jacket, too warm for the regular one . . .

Other than the drive to visit most of my family that still live in the northern L.A. area, I've never regretted leaving. The commutes and cost of living are simply not worth it.

I was going to go for a ride today but my SW-Motech Alu-Rack (top box rack) and pannier frames for my XJR1300 arrived today - so I'm fitting them. Now it's 35 deg C out in the garage so I think I'll wait until tomorrow - except the forecast is for even hotter and getting hotter each day.

I might make it a night ride.

It's cheap compared with living here in Sydney, Australia. Still SoCal is probably one of the last places I'd want to live. NorCal would suit me more.

We did a 300 mile ride on the Pacific Coast Hwy yesterday and another 300 today up to our place in the Calif gold country. If we don't get some rain soon, we will be rationing next summer. Especially since SoCal steals all our water

I'm hip. I commute 120 miles round trip into and out of DC metro traffic every weekday.

I did an easy 60mi mental health ride yesterday. Beautiful day. Wore the Kili, but opened up the cuffs to improve air flow.

How I envy your climate, not your state though. It was -15 degrees here this morning, without wind chill...:beatnik:

California is really a beautiful state but it's ruined by the idiots who clog it's streets and vote in it's elections. We just can't get deeper in debt fast enough.
