I've got the Kilimanjaro. Very warm jacket and I like it a lot. If you've got a Cycle Gear nearby, they carry them (or did). Always best to try on for fit.

I have worn a Transition for the last 6 years that is starting to show some wear and tear and satisfied with the quality and fit. I recently got a Saber 2 from the same maker for the next riding season. My .05 cents ( they quit making pennies up here).

I have a Transition II that I have had now for about 7 years, still going strong but has lost much of it's waterproof qualities. I looked hard at the new III and may pull the trigger on that, but I am likely going with the Firstgear Kathmandu over the Kilimanjaro.

Have a transition 2 that is fine in all but the warmest temps. Took a Sonora air on a trip to Florida..you need to fiddle with the separate waterproof and quilted liners but nearly as warm as the transitions 2 and the mesh is certainly great in the high heat. Would not trust the jacket in heavy rain but I find it easier to throw on Frog Toggs rather than zipping in liners.

I've had all three versions of the Transitions (probably 6 jackets in total) and liked the II over the other ones. The 3 lacks zippered pockets, they just fold over and the collar tab is shorter. That may be an issue if you wear a neck gaiter. The main zipper tang on at least three of them snapped off.

There are about 6 versions of the Kiliminjaro. I had a 2 and a 3, neither was very warm.

Oh yeah, none of them are waterproof for more than an hour, two at most. I always wore rain gear over them after that discovery.

I've got the Transition 3

I love the jacket. My only complaint is there is no ventilation in the sleeves. In the hot weather, I keep the cuffs open but because of the Barkbusters, my arms get pretty warm. Otherwise, the jacket keeps me warm, dry and the vent system works well.
