I finally broke 100 miles!
Every bike I've bought has been dropped in my garage or backyard within a 100 miles of first startup. This new Glee I just bought beat that. I was at 110 miles when I knocked it over!!!
I was hoping I could keep it upright until my new guards came in, but missed it by a day!
So now I've got the guards. And I've ordered a set of brand-new front turn lights (a pair of them is cheaper than one OEM!) and I think I'll keep the shorty brake lever I now have--just have to dress it up a bit.
On the funny side of it, the neighbors should have gotten a good laugh, since I did it trying to get my toe over the mile-high seat. Got all tangled up on the bottom side of a heap on the asphalt. The bike didn't say a word; it was silent. I wasn't!
On my next new bike, if I live that long, I'm shooting for 115 miles before I knock it over into my wife's picket fence or rose bush or something!!!!
