Vee to Wee Seat Swap??

Hi all,
Somewhere on here I read that you can change out the seats between a Vee and a Wee. If this is true, are there any years that aren't compatible?

I am a touch short on the Vee and was thinking of shaving the seat down about 3/4 of an inch, mostly for better footing on dirt. (Totally fine on pavement, as can shift over at stops.) But, if the Wee has a lower saddle, that might even be a better option.

Thoughts on this?
Thanks!

Works fine and drops the seat 20mm. Any Wee set up to and including 2011 will fit.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

I have A 650 and 1000 seat for my Vee. I like the 650 seat because it is lower but it is not as comfy as the 1000 seat, less foam. 90 % of the time I use the 1000 seat

I think the Wee seat is made for light weight people. I'm around 180 lbs and found the foam crunches down pretty fast and I get sore within an hour or two. The Vee seat was a big improvement, but it also only lasts another hour or two before my tailbone starts to complain.

Whistler,
Thank you for the offer! Still working with Snake to do a swap, been busy and was really frigid here until recently. If something doesn't work out, I will be in touch.

I weigh about 145 and am used to hard sport bike seats, so am not too worried about the Wee saddle being too easily compacted on a ride. Mostly it is the height thing. Do fine with it on paved roads, but concerned about dirt and lack of solid footing. Anything I can gain to get me lower is a plus since I'm on my tip toes and do the slide to the side at stops.

You could consider lowering wishbones. I have them on my vee and have never scraped a peg. I did bottom out on some speed bumps though.
